Guest lecturer: Erik Bostrom '15

Mr. Sykes’ economics classes welcomed Erik Bostrom ’15 as a guest speaker on Friday, April 12. A former Hackley econ student himself, Erik pursued his bachelor’s degree in international studies and economics, followed by a master’s degree in international economics and strategic studies, both at Johns Hopkins University.

Since 2020, he has been working at the Federal Reserve in Washington, D.C., where he is currently a financial institutions and policy analyst in the Division of Monetary Policy. Erik’s talk offered students a detailed insight into monetary policy, and they asked many questions about his experiences at the Fed, his career trajectory and his time at Hackley.
