About Our Alumni

Hackley’s 4,538 alumni live in 47 states and 48 countries. They are curious, committed, and passionate about what they do, and they share a love for their Hilltop. At Hackley, they worked hard, learned to write well, made great friends, and enjoyed the partnership of teammates, classmates, fellow performers, teachers, and coaches.

The phrase carved over the entrance door, “Enter Here to Be and Find a Friend,” resonates among alumni across the decades and generations of our 118-year history. Hackley alumni regularly return to the Hilltop as teachers, coaches, guest lecturers, networking volunteers, Alumni Board members, Trustees, and internship hosts. They come back for reunions, and they generously support the school with their philanthropy.

Rebecca Rubin ’83

Rebecca Rubin ’83 is the founder, President and CEO of multiple award winning Marstel-Day, an environmental consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. and Fredericksburg, Virginia. As President and CEO, Rebecca utilizes her passion for protecting wilderness, open space and natural resources, which led her to found her firm in 2002.
