Superb perfomance in Senior game puts HBVS back in title contention

The Seniors were recognized at half time as they played their final home game but it was on the field where their real contribution to the program was on full display. In a game where every single player performed in spectacular fashion it was the seniors who really stood out. Goalkeeeper Steven Wahrhaftig made a string of incredible saves to record his 6th shut out of the season and Sam Rinzler scored a hatrick to lead the offense. Gabe Welch played his most complete game of the season and Shayan Ahamd won every single midfield ball. The defensive line of Tucker Van Eck, Chris Wahrhaftig, Jackson Corrigan and Ian jacobson were in synch the entire game and repeatedly caught Fieldston players offside quellling their offense. In midfield Sath Tillis and Uriel Garcia made significcant plays to suffocate the creative talent of an opposition who had some dangerous attacking players and the overall team performance was by far the best of the season. This win and the fact that the team is peaking at the right time insures that the team belongs in the NYSIASA tournament and could go all the way.
