Two Hackley Football Standouts Honored
Seniors Winston Britton and Will Cotter were recognized by the Westchester Chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame for both athletic and academic excellence. Winston was subsequently recognized by the New York State Sportswriters Association for his performance this past fall on the undefeated Hackley Football Team.
Winston was named to the first team "Golden Dozen" and, along with five other local players, was named First-Team All-State for Class B schools by the New York State Sportswriters Association. Full story here.
Will was selected to the second team. Both players were instrumental in leading the team to its undefeated championship season in 2016.This year’s 12 winners, along with 14 second-team selections, will be honored on Thursday, Jan. 26 at the 45th annual awards banquet at the Westchester Country Club in Rye.
