Athletes of the Week – Week of Jan. 6

Boys’ Basketball: Jelani Middleton ’26
Jelani had 37 points in the most recent win over Portledge and was named the MVP of the game over Winter Break when Hackley defeated Briarcliff 47-39 at the County Center. Jelani has been a stalwart for the Hornets this season on the hardwood.

Wrestling: Emmanuel Henderson ’26 
Emmanuel had an incredible weekend at the Edgemont Wrestling Tournament, which had more than 20 schools competing, winning his bracket with an exciting 4-3 victory over a very good competitor.
