Every week, the Athletics department highlights some exceptional Hackley Hornets who are helping to spur on their teams.
Girls’ Basketball: Ashley Currie ’24
Ashley has been vital to the Hornets’ recent success. She has averaged 13 points, four rebounds and two assists in each of the two games she played last week.
Indoor Track and Field: Caitlin Morrow ’27
On Monday, at Ivy League Prep School No. 4, Caitlin ran the fastest 1500m of her running career. Her blistering fast time of 5:12.80 placed her fifth overall of 43 runners. Her time also qualified her for Nike Indoor Nationals. Congratulations, Caitlin!

Indoor Track and Field: Ike Shaw ’24
On Monday, Ike had a dominant night at the Ivy No. 4 meet. He began the evening with a personal best of 7.11 in the 55 meter, placing him 14th in a field of 112 athletes. Next, he ran a 39.27 in the 300 meter, qualifying him for NYSIAS. The grand finale of the night was his anchor leg of the 4x200m, where his gutsy final push inched out Riverdale, earning Hackley the win! Congratulations, Ike!
