Hackley Fund Manager

The Hackley School seeks a Hackley Fund Manager for the 2025-2026 school year. Reporting to, working closely with, and guided by the Director of the Annual Fund, the Hackley Fund Manager is responsible for implementing and executing strategies to raise funds to support the School’s operating budget. 

The Hackley Fund Manager will work closely with, and be mentored by, the Director of the Annual Fund, assisting with volunteer management, direct mail, email marketing and solicitations, social media, and all forms of donor cultivation, solicitation, retention, and stewardship.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in implementing a comprehensive Hackley Fund strategy to meet annual fundraising goals. Develop an understanding of giving patterns among Hackley’s constituencies and segment donors to create unique solicitation and engagement strategies.
  • Meet, build relationships with, and support the management of volunteers, including alumni, parents, parents of alumni, and grandparents, who help encourage annual giving and foster a culture of philanthropy.
  • Contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of annual fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, online giving, events, and other initiatives to maximize donor participation.
  • Create compelling and effective fundraising materials using Canva. Help create newsletters and updates to keep donors informed and engaged.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to develop fundraising materials and implement strategic social media plans to engage donors and promote giving initiatives.
  • Build and manage giving forms and campaign pages on GiveCampus.
  • Upload and manage constituent information on GiveCampus for text outreach
  • Research and apply annual fund best practices to increase Hackley Fund participation and revenue.
  • Manage a portfolio of prospective donors, building relationships to encourage sustained and increased giving.
  • Assist in producing the Annual Report on Philanthropy, ensuring accurate donor recognition and compelling storytelling.
  • Support and encourage alumni reunion-year gift participation, including developing targeted outreach strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in a relevant field
  • Previous experience in annual giving, preferably in an academic setting
  • Goal, deadline and detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated self-starter who is entrepreneurial, motivated by challenging goals, and not easily deterred
  • Impeccable work ethic and a commitment to being part of a group that works collaboratively within the team and across the school
  • Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in Canva and GiveCampus
  • Problem solving growth mindset

Salary and Benefits:


The salary range for this position is $67,500-$77,500.
